Swim Meets
League and Invitational Meets
UNAC swimmers are encouraged to compete in all Southern Tier Swim League (STSL) East meets. In order to compete in the STSL Championships, swimmers must compete during the season in at least one STSL meet in two individual events. In addition, UNAC swimmers often compete in invitational meets hosted by UNAC or swim clubs.
Niagara Championship Qualifiers
Swimmers must have a qualifying "BB" (Silver) time in a particular event order to compete in that event at a Niagara Championship Qualifier (Silver) meet. Swimmers may also be allowed to compete in up to two bonus events with slower times, provided they have at least one "BB" time. Swimmers cannot compete at these meets in any events in which they have "NI" (Gold) times.
Niagara Championships
Swimmers must have a qualifying "NI" (Gold) time in a particular event in order to compete in that event at the Niagara Championships. Swimmers may also be allowed to compete in up to two bonus events with slower times, provided they have at least one "NI" time and have "BB" times in the bonus events.
Hosted Meets
Since 1974, UNAC has hosted the annual Sertoma Invitational, a three-day outdoor meet held in July. UNAC also hosts one of the three Niagara Championship Qualifier (Silver) meets in late February. These meets are the only fundraisers that UNAC has, and revenue earned is used to offset some of the costs of UNAC's swim program, which helps reduce the swimmers' fees. Because of this, UNAC parents are expected to help with some of the many jobs it takes to run a successful meet.
